Five must have photos for heartfelt family memories

Capturing the soul of a family and what makes each of them unique is what I love most! I love to document the love, the fun and the bond that they all have.

There are so many moments on my mental checklist that I aim to capture at each family session but here are five of my top photos that I feel HAVE to go into your gallery that tell your family love story.

Classic Family Shot

Perfect for the grandparents! I always aim to get this one out the way first. It is usually the photo that every family thinks they want and it is definitely the photo that the grandparents want.

heartfelt parental love

This is probably MY most important and favourite. Parents are usually the ones behind the camera and if they are in the photo, it is rarely of a raw, honest moment of pure love between them and their child. THIS is what I am the most passionate about and I will aim to capture at EVERY family photoshoot.

Whether they are best friends or argue 90% of the time, there is always love there. This love can be captured in so many ways from cuddles, piggybacks or just making each other belly laugh.

Nothing beats the joy of a genuine belly laugh. These moments are pure magic, filled with the kind of happiness that bubbles up from the heart and lights up everyone's faces. These candid shots capture the essence of family joy.

playful family fun

These are the moments where everyone lets loose and just enjoys being together. Whether it's playing a fun game (I have a few up my sleeve), having a tickle fight, or just exploring the great outdoors, capturing these playful interactions showcases the unique energy and spirit of your family. These are usually the moments where the dads shine as this tends to be what they do best!!
