Warm, cosy, in-home family sessions this Christmas.

The Magic of Christmas
Let's be honest about "Christmas sessions"
When most people hear "Christmas session," they picture a fake snowy backdrop, a studio tree that belongs to nobody, and everyone in matching pyjamas holding a bauble, smiling on cue.
I've tried it, but if I'm being totally honest...it's just never been my thing.
The sessions I'm offering this year are much more you!
Your home, your Christmas.
It's your home, your tree and your kitchen table covered in icing sugar. Possibly your dog sneaking a gingerbread man when nobody's looking.
It's documentary photography that catches the actual feeling of Christmas. Cosy, a bit nostalgic, and all that Christmas magic you want to create for your children each year.
This is your Christmas
Every session includes gingerbread decorating, and I bring everything we need (vegan options too). So part of the shoot happens around your kitchen table (or wherever is suitable), with everyone actually doing something together.
Those are the moments I'm really there for, the ones that show up when everyone's forgotten the camera. They're the ones that mean something when you look back years later.
There will be gingerbread!

If reading this gave you a little yes, that's usually the bit worth listening to. This is for you if you've been wanting something that captures how your family actually feels ... not just how you look.

How do I book?
What should we wear?
When will we get our photos?
What's actually included?
How long is the session, and how many of us can be in it?
Pick one of the dates available and either book through the site or drop me an email and I'll sort everything with you from there.
Whatever feels like you. Cosy is good - like jumpers, socks, pyjamas if that's your family's thing. I'd steer away from brand-new matching outfits; the aim is to look like yourselves, not a magazine.
Your full gallery is delivered digitally, typically within two weeks. You'll be able to download everything and keep it forever.

An hour, in your own home, for up to 6 family members. Pets are very welcome too.
This is Christmas with small people, and it usually makes the best pictures. I photograph it all as it comes and no-one has to perform for the camera.
What if the kids won't sit still / the toddler melts down?
If I'm honest, most families feel that way, and it's why the session is built around doing something rather than posing. Once the gingerbread's out and everyone's focussing on the sprinkles, the camera stops being the thing you're thinking about. That's when the good stuff happens.
We're not really "photo people"
Not even slightly, that's the whole point! Real, lived-in homes are exactly what these sessions are about. Icing sugar on the table and a bit of clutter in the corner is your Christmas, and it's what makes the photos feel like yours.
