Hey you, I’m Amy! 👋 If you’re a wedding supplier and you’ve been putting off getting branding photos done, this one’s for you.
I recently spent a brilliant day with Rachel Caws, a bridal hair and makeup artist based in Sussex, shooting her second signature branding session with me. Yes, her second. Because when you’ve got a gallery full of images you genuinely love using … on your website, your social media, your enquiry pack … you come back for more.
This post is a behind-the-scenes look at what we created together, what goes into a signature branding shoot from start to finish, and why, if you’re a wedding supplier, professional branding photography might be the best investment you make in your business this year.
Rachel is a bridal hair and makeup artist, and if you’ve ever seen her work, you’ll understand immediately why brides keep recommending her. She’s calm, warm, and completely in her element on a wedding morning … the kind of person who makes you feel relaxed just by being in the room.

That energy is exactly what her branding photos needed to communicate. Future brides aren’t just booking a service … they’re booking a feeling. They want to know what it will be like to have Rachel in the room with them on one of the biggest mornings of their life. Good branding photos answer that question before a bride even picks up the phone.
A signature branding shoot is my full, half-day brand experience. It’s not a quick headshot session … it’s a whole gallery of intentional imagery designed to work across every part of your business.
Here’s what’s included:

For Rachel’s shoot, we used a beautiful coastal AirBnB in Rustington that she found herself – all soft neutrals, velvet sofas, and gorgeous natural light. The kind of space that feels like her brand without trying too hard. It’s a great example of how locations along the West Sussex coast lend themselves so naturally to this kind of imagery.
We spent the first part of the day with a model so we could capture Rachel actually doing what she does … applying makeup, adding the finishing touches to hair, sharing a laugh with her client. These are the images that tell the story of what it’s like to be in Rachel’s hands on a wedding morning.
These shots are so valuable for wedding suppliers because they give future clients a window into the experience before they book. A bride looking at Rachel’s website isn’t just thinking ‘does she do good makeup?’ … she’s thinking ‘will I feel comfortable? Will I feel looked after? Will I actually enjoy my morning?’ Images like these answer all of that.

The second part of the day was all about Rachel … portraits, lifestyle shots, and images that show who she is as a person and a business owner. We moved around different areas of the house, changed her outfits so the gallery felt varied, and worked in a mix of styled and candid moments.
We got her working on her laptop, holding delicate bridal hair accessories, sitting on the staircase with a glass of her favourite gin (cheers, Rachel 🥂), and just laughing … properly, naturally laughing.
That last bit matters more than people think. When a future bride lands on Rachel’s website and sees her laughing … like, really laughing – they feel like they already know her. They can imagine being in the room with her. That’s the moment they go from ‘maybe’ to ‘I need to book her.’

Most of my clients tell me upfront that they feel awkward in front of the camera. Rachel said the same.
And to be totally honest, that’s completely normal. Having photos taken on your own – no wedding to focus on, no family chaos to hide behind, can feel exposing.
My job is to make you forget about the camera. I keep things relaxed, chatty and genuinely fun. I’ll guide you through every pose and movement so you’re never left standing there wondering what to do with your hands.
And yes … I am absolutely willing to be ridiculous behind the lens if it means getting that real, unguarded laugh out of you. It works every time.
“From start to finish, Amy was warm, intuitive and incredibly professional. She really took the time to understand my brand and helped me feel completely at ease in front of the camera (no small feat!).
The Signature Package offered such a well-rounded experience, from planning and location advice to the most beautiful, thoughtfully captured images that feel so me.
I left the shoot feeling confident, energised and truly seen – and I now have a gallery of images I’m excited to use across my website and marketing.”

Wedding suppliers operate in one of the most trust-based industries there is. Couples are handing you some of the most important moments of their lives, and they often make their decision based on how you make them feel, long before they’ve even spoken to you.
Your online presence is doing most of the heavy lifting. If the photos on your website are outdated, inconsistent, or just don’t feel like you anymore … you could be losing enquiries without even knowing it.
Whether you’re a:
Bridal hair and makeup artist
Wedding florist
Wedding planner or coordinator
Celebrant
Cake designer
Venue stylist or stationer
… professional branding photos help couples see who you are, understand how you work, and feel confident booking you.
They show the care and craft behind what you do. And they make your business look as good as the work you deliver.
I work with wedding suppliers across Sussex – from Worthing and Brighton to Chichester, Arundel and everywhere in between – and the difference a proper branding gallery makes is always noticeable.

Both options work brilliantly and it really depends on your business and what you want your gallery to show. For service-based suppliers like hair and makeup artists, florists, or cake designers, including a model or a styled element can really bring the work to life – it shows the experience, not just the person. But if you’d rather focus on you and your personality, solo lifestyle portraits are absolutely enough. We’ll chat this through in your planning call so we get the right mix for you.
Wherever feels most like you and your brand. That might be your home, your studio, a beautiful AirBnB, a café you love, a wedding venue you work at, or outdoors. There’s no right or wrong answer.
Rachel found and booked the Rustington AirBnB herself, and it was perfect for her aesthetic. I shoot branding sessions across Sussex, so whether you’re based in Brighton, Worthing, Chichester or anywhere in between, we can find something that works. During our planning call, I’ll help you think through locations that will give us the most varied, usable gallery.
Honestly, most of my clients say this, and they’re always the ones who end up with the best images. I know that sounds like a line, but it’s genuinely true. When you’re not trying to perform for the camera, something more real comes through. My whole approach is built around making you feel relaxed enough to just be yourself, and that’s when the magic happens. I also promise I will absolutely embarrass myself if it gets a real laugh out of you.
With the Signature Package, you’ll receive a gallery of approximately 80–100 fully edited images – more than enough to refresh your entire website, fill months of social media content, and still have images left over for press features, directories, and your enquiry brochure.
I’d recommend getting in touch as soon as you know you want to do this —as my diary fills up quickly and we want to have enough time for the planning stages too. Drop me a message and we can look at dates together.
The Signature Brand Experience is £600. If you’re not quite ready for the full half-day, the Express Brand Spotlight starts at £350 and is perfect if you need a smaller set of natural, professional images to refresh your website or social media.

If you’re a wedding supplier in Sussex, whether you’re based in Worthing, Brighton, Chichester, or anywhere along the coast, and you’ve been thinking about refreshing your brand imagery (or building it from scratch), I’d love to hear from you!
The planning process is genuinely enjoyable (not stressful, I promise), the day itself flies by, and you’ll end the session with images that make you feel proud every single time you open your website.
Get in touch to request my branding brochure, or just drop me a message and let’s have a chat about what you’re looking for.
And Rachel … thank you for trusting me with your brand again. Working with you is always so much fun 🥂
