How My Pricing Works (Family, Newborn & Mini Sessions)
October 14, 2026
Hey you!
If you’ve been looking at my prices and thinking to yourself, “okay Amy…but how does this actually work?”, this one is for you.
I’ve kept my pricing structure as simple as I can, but because all photographers tend to do things slightly differently, it can quickly get confusing if you have spoken to 2 or more.
When you book with me, there are just two parts;
1. A session fee to book your date
2. A photo collection you choose after you’ve seen your gallery
Why I Do It This Way
I have found that most people don’t know how many photos they will want until they have seen them. (Spoiler…it is usually more than they think!)
So rather than asking you to guess how many you will want when you book, you get to see your gallery first and then choose the photo collection that feels right for you.

Why The Full Gallery Isn’t Included Upfront
Some photographers include every photo in one bigger upfront price, and that works well for some people.
For me, it would mean putting my session fee up quite a bit to cover my costs. Every family would then be paying for the full gallery, whether they wanted it or not.
I’d rather keep the session fee lower so more families can book. Then, once you’ve seen your photos, you can decide what’s right for you.
That might be 5 favourites for the wall. It might be 12 to share with the grandparents. Or you might fall in love with all of them and go for the full gallery.
You don’t have to decide any of that at the start. You can wait, see your gallery, and choose what works for you and your budget.

Family Photography Prices In Sussex

Once you’ve seen your gallery, you choose from three collections:

- Carefree: 12 digital images, £350
- Timeless: your full gallery (60+ images), £550

Newborn & Maternity Sessions
These work in exactly the same way as the family sessions. A £125 session fee books your date, and you choose from the same three collections afterwards.
Newborn sessions are usually at home but can be outside in the warmer months, and last around two hours, so there’s plenty of time for feeds, cuddles and most importantly…tea breaks!
If you’d like both maternity and newborn photos, my Bump to Baby package is £250 and covers both sessions. You choose your collection after your maternity shoot, and I’ll gift you the same collection for your newborn photos. So depending on which collection you choose, that’s a saving of £250–£550.

Motherhood Mini Sessions
Minis are shorter (around 20 minutes), on set dates at a few of my favourite local spots.
Your £75 session fee includes one digital image and a matching 8×10″ fine art print. If you fall in love with more (most mums do), you can add:
Ember: 1 extra digital image, £75
Organic: 5 extra digital images, £200
Timeless: your full gallery, £295
You can see upcoming motherhood mini dates here.

When Do I Pay?
You pay your session fee and sign your contract to book your date. Then you pay for your collection once you’ve seen your gallery.
You’ll get to preview a handful of your photos within a week of your session, and your full gallery around four weeks after.
A Few Things People Ask
Do you charge for travel?
Only if I’m travelling more than 25 miles from Worthing (BN14). When you want to book and we have decided on the the location of your session, I will confirm any additional travel expenses.
Can I order prints?
Yes! You can order prints straight from your gallery, and I’m always happy to help you choose.
Can I buy a session as a gift?
Definitely! You can find out more about photoshoot gift vouchers here.

Ready When You Are
